Ciao!
Can someone please tell me how I’m already halfway through this semester? I just got to Italy and unpacked my suitcase! I feel like I’ve been here for so little time, but now I only have 6 weeks left in this amazing city. School has not been the easiest with midterms, but Spring Break was amazing! I traveled to Barcelona, Nice, and Monaco! It is always nice (no pun intended) to come back ‘home’ to Rome though.
The most shocking thing that happened before the break is that it snowed in Rome for the first time in 6 years. I do not even remember the last time I had seen it snow, so this experience was amazing. My roommate and I stood in our duvets on our balcony watching the snow. We did not have school the next day either, so we went and explored the snow-covered city. This was easily my favorite day here in Rome.
Although I love it here, I do miss some things from America that I am looking forward to enjoying when I am back. This list includes my friends, family, my car, dryers, Chick fil A, Starbucks, air conditioning, and mostly my bed. Soon I am going to Germany to visit my best friend from high school, so I am very excited about that. Our program has other trips that I am so excited to go on. We had already gone to Florence with ISA and it was amazing! I don’t want these last weeks to fly by like they have been. I am still very excited about the next upcoming adventures.
