During my time in Spain, I have particularly enjoyed traveling outside Madrid. Going to Segovia, Salamanca, and Candelario really allowed me to have a better look at Spanish culture outside the major cities and have contributed to my greater appreciation of Spain in general. Candelario was a town I will also never forget, the rich history and genuine people left me with an authentic experience I will remember for the rest of my life. Additionally, on my free weekend, I was able to travel to Interlaken, Switzerland and do an array of outdoor activities consisting of biking, hiking, swimming, kayaking, paragliding, and skydiving. I was only there less than for 48 hours but I can happily say it was the most unforgettable weekend of my life thus far. The mountains and people that call Interlaken home are what make the small mountain town as unique as it is. In conclusion, my 3 and half weeks of being in Europe so far has been an experience I will never forget and I am very grateful for the opportunities I have to see how beautiful the world is outside of the U.S.
