I have thoroughly enjoyed my time here in Madrid throughout the four weeks that I have been here. Each day is filled with adventures and new flavors around every corner. The other weekend we travelled to Candelario and it was there that I had an adventure of a lifetime (so far that is). It was the cutest most quaint town I have ever been in. With mountains surrounding me I had to go on a hike. So, on Saturday after it rained, myself and a few friends went on a hike up one of the mountains. The scenery from each point of the mountain was breathtaking as it overlooked the little town of candelario and its nearby towns. This is a picture from the highest point we reached before we had to head back down. It was taken on a rock where we sat down and rested before heading back down. My white Converse’s got super muddy in the process of the hike. Even though they were my favorite shoes, the hike was worth it. As we sat there for quite some time we suddenly saw people approaching our direction. Once they rounded a huge tree we saw they that they were fellow Rollins students. It was quite funny meeting up with people you know unplanned especially in a place so vast as a mountain. What are the odds! I am very excited to see what the rest of the trip holds for me. The memories made in Candelario will last a lifetime.
