As I sit back and reflect on the past weekend, this black and white photo best sums up my weekend in Candelario. Candelario is a one of a kind city that I had the pleasure to explore with some of my closest friends. The picture attached was taken by one of my roommates on the trip, Jeff, while Blake and I walked a few paces ahead. I quickly noticed the unique buildings within the city as we explored throughout the small town. Though, Candelaria was more than just a small collection of houses and shops. One of my most memorable events of the trip was in the first day we arrived in Candelaria. My roommates and I followed a trail uphill, past all the buildings and came upon a small river. Candelaria is a town like no other and something I would not have gotten to experience in the US.
