Visiting Toledo for the day was one of the highlights of my trip thus far! A few of my friends and I visited the Alcázar de Toledo (Museo del Ejército) where we toured the museum and older parts of the castle. Following the museum, we walked to the Toledo Cathedral. The interior of the cathedral was incredibly intricate and detailed. In Toledo, the three different cultures of Christians, Jewish and Arab have co-existed peacefully for centuries. Something interesting about the Jewish Quarter was the little decorated tiles found in this area of the city. We loved looking for the small tiles with letters or signs placed at the street corners or in the streets to mark that we were in the Jewish Quarter of the city. After meandering around the beautifully decorated streets, we zip lined across the Tagus River along the Puente de San Martin. In this photo, you can see the Puente de San Martin along with my excitement to fly over the river!
