So far I have been in the capital of Argentina, Buenos Aires, for what feels like a very long time. Yet at the same time it has flown by. My first month I took a Spanish intensive month, which featured 5 hours of Spanish 5 days a week. That first month greatly improved my Spanish skills. I am now about 4 weeks into the regular school semester. I have been fortunate enough to travel around other parts of Argentina and South America since I have arrived. Yesterday, I arrived back from trip to Mendoza, Argentina. This is what they call wine country and it is right next to the Andes so it had so breathtaking views to say the least. I took a 16 hr bus to get there, but it was most definitely worth it. In Mendoza, I did some white water rafting through a river surrounded by the Andes Mountains. Definitely one of the coolest and coldest things I have ever done. Being in a boat going down river cliffs while being surrounded by snowy mountains is a once in lifetime type of thing. I am finishing up Midterms this week, but looking forward to visiting Patagonia in 2 weeks.
