It is actually crazy how fast time flies. All my classes are over, and it is only just April. That’s one thing that is a little weird to me. There are only 12 weeks of teaching here in the UK. Then you get a whole month off to prepare for exams which take place in May. Most of my classes don’t have final exams, so I just had a lot of free time. As I mentioned in earlier posts, you have so much time in university. I don’t know how much I like that. It sort of makes you feel like you are wasting time, and I am usually used to having things to do/working on assignments etc. I walked around South Kensington last week, which is known to be a really nice area of London. I also visited two amazing museums, The Natural History Museum and The Victoria and Albert Museum. The architecture here continues to amaze me. There is so much attention paid to the littlest details, and it is done with a touch of class.
My time here is ending and it has definitely taught me so much more about myself. I kind of learned how to cook, but I think the most important thing I learned was to be okay with things not being okay. Having said that, there is definitely comfort in familiarity. I am actually looking forward to coming back and getting in the swing of things. I’ve missed my friends and the amazing weather in FL!!
