I am back home. It is still crazy to me how time just few by! Honestly I could of stayed in France for a little longer but I am grateful for being back home with my family. After getting used to Paris and the city life, coming back to Florida everything feels empty, like there is no life on the streets, just cars and more cars, not one single soul outside. Now I have to get back to driving everywhere. Still I’m happy to be back and see all of my friends and family. In France I leaned a lot. I learned independence, I learned to get lost and find my way in a city and well I also learned some French. The experience of studying abroad was something that developed me as a person. I got to interact with people that have a different culture and learn from them. I also learned a few things when it comes to the business world in France and other things about French politics. My host family was amazing! I felt lucky every single day that I stayed with them because the other students in the program did not get very along with their hosts families. My host parents even brought me a gift from Italy! They treated me as part of the family and made my experience abroad the best it could have been. There are many things that I enjoyed while living in Paris, like how easy it is to travel around France and Europe! I will definitely come back to France, I feel like there is so much more that I didn’t get to see! When it comes to the Hollins study abroad program I don’t have much to say, I mean their program is ending and we were the last group of students to go to Paris with them and I believe that is why there where a couple of problems. I believe this abroad experience has contributed to my career because I got to see how the other side of the world functions and how starting a business in France might be different from starting one here in the States. A couple of things that I learned from my teachers in Rollins came to mind when I was in France! Overall I very thankful first to God and then to Rollins for giving me the amazing opportunity of studying abroad!
