Hey Everyone I am so excited to update you guys on how London has been for me so far. It has been exactly 39 since I have been in London and I have absolutely enjoyed every second of it. It has been such an experience so far from building relationships with my professors and classmates, to discovering London and meeting with local Brits. For the last month and a half I have been interning in the finance department for a company called Everyman Media Group. The people here have been such as big help in my adjustment to London I cannot thank them enough. I have built such a great relationship with my manager and other co-workers and they have taught me so much about London. Everyday we always have a discussion about the differences in culture, language and food between America and Britain. On the business side I have learned a lot about what goes into keeping a company running financially. From the usage of investors, to the amount of suppliers a company needs, to even the number of employees per cinema. It has definitely been a great learning environment for me. Recently the company opened another location and had a huge party to celebrate the grand opening. It was so much fun!!! I had the opportunity to bring my roommate and meet so many new people. The venue is huge and looks really nice. The best part was being able to eat so much free food and enjoy a free showing of the movie Joker (check it out if you haven’t seen it already). On top of this exciting news. I recently went on a trip to Paris. Let me tell you Paris is the best place I have been in so far!!!!! I completely fell in love with the city. Paris was so beautiful from the Louvre museum to the Eiffel tower I completely loved every part of it. Some cool highlights from the trip were the boat tours down the Seine rive seeing all the cool sites around the city. I also was able to visit the Louvre museum and take pictures of the Mona Lisa portrait which was completely amazing. Lastly of course the best part was climbing up the Eiffel tower. The Eiffel tower did not disappoint at all. It was so big and seeing the views from the top of it was a great experience. I loved sitting next to it at night eating dinner with my friends watching it light up. My trip to Paris was definitely worth it. Well that is all from me for now. I will be sure to include pictures of my trip. I will check back soon for another update on my abroad experience.
