As I am finishing packing to leave for Rome, I am starting to get really excited. It is going to be a whole new experience and in a new place that I have never been before! I personally like to step out of my comfort zone whenever I can, and I am feeling like I made the right decision when I chose to study abroad.
I am an international student at Rollins, so I am already studying abroad in the USA. I consider that this was a step out of my comfort zone, but I speak fluent English, so I want to push myself harder. I chose Italy because I always wanted to visit there, and I think it is a very interesting culture. I’ve never been anywhere in Europe and I don’t really know what to expect. The people I asked about Rome and Italy told me they faced different experiences when they visited there, some good ones and some bad ones. I am a little scared because I will be going alone, but I know that this fear is nothing compared to the regret I would have if I didn’t take advantage of this opportunity! I don’t speak Italian and I don’t know what challenges I will face. I only know that I will be learning and growing as I go to a new place.
I am excited for the classes to begin, for the new foods I am going to try, for the new people I will meet and for the new places I will visit! I am looking forward to experiencing college in another country, and for my new experiences. I am sure that I will never forget my time there and it will be a very interesting part of my history as a person! I am already preparing myself to make many photos and videos to document my four months there and I am sure I will not regret it! Everyone who already studied abroad advised me to keep a travel diary and I am planning to do that with photos! I will for sure share some of them here too!
I wish all good thing for everyone who is studying abroad as well!
Ciao!!
