Ciao a tutti,
being abroad was one of the best experiences I’ve ever had and knowing that it was coming to an end made me sad. During the last weeks I stayed in Rome and since I had been traveling every previous weekend so it was finally time to go out and explore Rome even further. My roommates and I had a blast going to the piazas and eating at new restaurants we hadn’t tried. We also had the chance to be with many friends that we couldn’t be with because of traveling differences so we went out to the bars and had an amazing time. Apart from being sad because our program was coming to an end I was also stressed because I had a lot of group projects that I had to finish up. Working in groups is always stressful and especially if you are traveling during the weekends. During the last weekend, I also had the chance to go back to the stadium and see Roma play one more time with my friends. It was a very special game because it was the decider of whether Roma was going to go to the next face of a very important tournament. The moment when the final whistle blew and Roma won the game was such a joy because you could feel the feeling of ecstasy that filled the stadium. The fans where chanting, as they did throughout the whole game, and I couldn’t help myself and tried joining in, even though I probably butchered most of it. After being done with everything related to school we had time to relax and enjoy our lasts days in Rome. Perhaps it wasn’t a good idea for me to leave every Christmas gift to the very last days. I had to go out and look for the right gifts for everyone in my family and it was stressful because I didn’t know exactly where I was going. Doing this gave me the chance to explore even more and by the end of the day the most unexpected thing happened. I went into a Roma store and one of the clubs player was there signing autographs. Just when I thought I wasn’t gonna meet any celebrity while abroad that happened and it was just the perfect close to an incredible experience. If I had the chance to do something like this again I would do it in a heartbeat.
A presto,
Roberto Bobadilla
