Something that I have found out through these readings so far is that when there is a war going on people sort of fail to think about the civilians and what they are going through. The media never shows what is going on with the innocent civilians. It has just made me grateful that I have never had to endure something like that. The idea of having stores open or hotels open seems like it would be horrible. The one part that really stood out to me was the nice hotel and its bar and having it fully stocked but you have to turn away customers. Things like this just make everything seem so much more depressing.
