Hello again!
It’s Manny! Yes I know I just posted yesterday but I really wanted to share with y’all my Easter preparations! Back home in Puerto Rico, Easter is a very big deal and we like to go all out when it comes to food and decorations and whatnot. So even though I am a bit sad this will be my first Easter without my family, I am also very excited to be spending it in the wonderful city of London! I’ve taken the last few days to truly hammer out my schedule and what I’ll do in the midst of this spring chaos!
As a first, I’ll try to go to church. In London, there is a huge amount of churches! There’s even one not even five minutes from where I’m currently living. However, it’s important that I find a Catholic church since that is my denomination. From what I’ve gathered, there’s a load of these down in central London. Next, after that, I’ll go and have a true English breakfast! Now don’t be mistaken: these are absolute feasts! I’ve only had them once since I’ve been here but I feel that for this special occasion, only the best will do! After having a hearty meal, I’ll go around towards the London Tower and finally see the crown jewels! I’ve heard that they are beautiful and ordained with some of the most priceless jewels the world has to offer. I guess the Queen has really good taste! After that, I’ll head out with a friend to have some dinner, maybe on the South Bank where the variety of food and unique tastes never ceases to amaze me! I’ve never really tried fusion food and I’ve heard it is very unique and interesting so maybe I’ll try some of that.
And that’s it! Come Monday, I’ll be fully rested and ready for work once again. Although admittedly it’ll be a bit nicer since the boss is off to see her mother so I’ll just get straight out of bed, head to the living room, and work straight from there!
Have a wonderful Easter everyone and stay safe!
Manny
