Hello everyone!
I tried to vlog this time around but I found thats actually much more difficult to do on the letters to america website so I decided to stick with my familiar friend: the keyboard.
I have been back in Ireland since the 30th of December, to take my finals for the first semester and to start preparing for the second! My roommates have moved in recently and so far I am aching for my old ones back. Not that there is anything wrong with these roommates, they’re just very reclusive and not the best at washing their dishes, haha!
I missed Ireland for the short week I was back in America, I found myself pining over my experiences as if I wasn’t going back. Today snow kissed the ground and I have never ran outside faster, I was still in my pajama shorts. It was my first time having snow underneath my feet, I couldn’t believe its beauty, it made the entire outside gleam in brightness. There is still some of it left, I’m hoping more will come!
So far I have been anticipating every single social interaction, I feel fumbly and uncomfortable sometimes. I found making friends was a lot easier last semester, this semester its all American students who have already come with groups of friends from their home universities. I’m still in the “break” period between spring semester starting and the end of first semester finals. I have an excess amount of time and its almost driving me crazy! I’m hoping the days will start to smooth over when classes start up again. I find myself missing a lot of things about Rollins. Its an interesting feeling, I feel like I’ll always crave Europe or I’ll always crave America when I’m not there. Today’s blog, albeit a bit pessimistic, is optimistic in nature. I am looking forward to the joys of my next semester, and I hope it treats me well! Stay tuned!
If you want to vlog and upload it to YouTube, you can post the link here in a blog, and that would count!
