Thus far, studying and exploring Spain has been an amazing experience. I am so grateful that I have been given the opportunity to experience Spanish culture alongside fellow Rollins students. One of my favorite aspects of Madrid is the beautiful parks located in various spots around the city. I was introduced to these parks early when I went on a cultural excursion to Retiro Park with the whole Rollins group. Since then, I have returned to Retiro numerous times to exercise, hang out with friends, and experience the culture that is all around the park. Going on cultural excursions such as soccer games, hiking in Candelario, and visiting museums has forced me to step outside my comfort zone and commit to immersing myself in Spanish culture. Over the course of the final two weeks, I look forward to exploring the city and finding new spots to enjoy.
