Within my first three weeks of being in Madrid , I decided to go with a group to the National Archaeological Museum. I was very excited for this particular museum because I have always had a love for the history of both art, as well as other key parts of the foundation of Spain. This museum surpassed my expectations, as it displayed a massive collection of ancient art and windows into what life had been like for thousands of year for countries all around the Mediterranean. It also did a great job of presenting why Spain is the way it is today. Through their display of artifacts from the Roman and Islamic cultures that came here previously, they showed the developed infrastructure and instilled culture throughout generations. The display that captured my attention the most, however, was the final floor which displayed money from all of history all over the world and made the significant point of its forever importance in the foundation of societies around the globe.
