This is a photo of Toledo, Espana. It is considered to be one of the oldest cities in the world, standing for over 2,000 years. In the photo, a large church and a cathedral are seen upon the hills. The church was built by Queen Isabel. On the side of the church are chains that were used to hold Christian slaves before they were freed. After they were freed, the Queen had the chains placed on the building. The Cathedral pictured is the Cathedral de Santa Maria de Blanca. Many of the buildings we saw this day were of gothic style and the amount of history the walls hold is apparent.
