The day I found out the program was cancelled, I wasn’t even in Italy. My friend and I would travel every weekend to experience the most we can. At the time we were in London having the time of our lives. It was so crazy because we were talking over dinner about how if the program ever gets cancelled, it would be after spring break, little did we know it was going to be cancelled within a couple hours. We went to bed and woke up to horrible news that we had to fly back home within the next three days. There were so many tears shed and happy memories gone. Everyone was upset. Coming back home wasn’t even a good feeling. I definitely felt people didn’t want to come near me because they thought I was infected. It’s so frustrating. Imagine thinking you’re about to have the best experience of your life, meet the best people of your life, eat the best food of your life, travel around Europe, and have this once in a lifetime opportunity taken away from you because of a virus you can’t even see.
