I cannot believe I am about to start my journey to the amazing country of Australia! I have wanted to visit Australia since I was little so I could not be more excited. Something I am really hoping to understand when going to this country is what the hype is all about? Everyone that I have talked to about my trip that has visited Australia has said they would love to move there and never come back. I have seen photos but I want to know what makes it so much more special than America. I am hoping to find that out while I am there for the semester. I am also really excited to attend the University of Sydney and meet my host family! I have never gone to a large school with huge class sizes so attending the University of Sydney will be a completely new experience for me. I looked at pictures and the campus looks absolutely stunning! My friend lived with my host family last year and said they were incredible. I hope to become really close with them and get advice on the best places to visit in Sydney. Overall, I cannot wait to board that plane tomorrow and live out my dream of visiting Australia!
