I am having the most amazing time in Sydney! I honestly cannot believe how much I love living with a family instead of living with friends in an apartment. Originally, I was a little upset about leaving the other Rollins students and having to live with a family on my own. I now realize how much it has helped me learn so much about the Australian culture. Instead of just going to classes and traveling with my friends, the host family gives me advice and teaches me things that I would never have learned about Australia. I also love that there are kids in the family that are my age. In my host family there are a son and a daughter. The son is named Sebastian. He is 20. The daughter is Molly. She is 17. They have helped me out so much such as traveling ideas and just finding a good place for breakfast. I also cannot believe how they really treat me like part of the family. Earlier this week, Sebastian had his 20th birthday. We all went out to dinner together to celebrate. It is so nice to actually feel included especially since they really did not have to do that. I feel so lucky that I got them as my host family and will definitely keep contact with them after my visit. Below are pictures of Sebastian and Molly.
