Growing up in the United States, I am no stranger to religious diversity. America has become a very multicultural society with many races and ethnicities represented to say the least. The problem, however, is that for the most part these groups are not able to coexist peacefully and there is much fighting and disagreement between these diverse factions. When I got to Singapore I was amazed on how peaceful this diverse country was and how everyone was able to live side – by – side with no quarrels. In one section of the country, there was a mosque, hindu temple, and a buddhist temple all on one block. It shocked how well these religions were so ingrained into society equally and how everyone seemed to respect each other’s religious beliefs. The places of worship were also architectural wonders, weaving spirituality and wonder into each piece to leave the viewers in awe.
