I have been here for more than a month which seems crazy to me. It does not feel as such, the time is flying by. I am really enjoying my internship as I am learning a lot about marketing. I dropped my biology class due to the fact it was simply too advanced. I have continued to make more friends and get closer to the ones that were once new. I occasionally see other Rollins students, but I think as a whole the more time we are here the less time we are spending with each other, which is not necessarily a bad thing. I am sorry to report that my Homestay situation has not been resolved. There was a possibility I was going to switch to another option that seemed more suitable to what I had originally asked for, but the family is not and was not looking to take on another student. I mean I am getting used to the situation, it is just not a good feeling to not look forward to going home for the night. I try to avoid it as much as possible and find myself constantly spending time at friends, unsure if they just pretend to like me due to the fact they just feel bad for me. I have gone to Darling Harbor and Newtown a lot for dinner, which the food is amazing. I have also recently able to pick up habits from home and share them with new American friends as well as Australian friends. I look forward to what the next few months have in store for me.
