I have moved Homestays since my last report. I am much closer to school and have a family more of what I asked for. I have three younger siblings under the age of 12 along with a homestay mom. The setting is a lot more relaxed and I am much happier with the new accommodations. It is on a popular street with shops and restaurants in which I cannot wait to explore more. My school work here has recently been heavy due to mid semester assignments but I have managed to stay on top of everything. I am confident in the assignments I have submitted and am looking to receive my grades and feedback for them. I have met more American friends and hope to try to meet some more locals upon leaving. One thing that has really surprised me is the apparent influence of the Asian culture here in Australia. In addition to the many Asians on the street, their culture is reflected in the plethora of restaurants representative of all different parts of Asia. The thai food here is unreal and will surely be one of the most missed things about being here. With Spring break approaching, I am hoping to visit other parts of Australia and really hope to go to the Great Barrier Reef as well as other parts of Australia.
