A London Fashion show? Never thought I would be saying I went to one. This past Saturday, my flat mates and I (5 of us) went to see the Silver Catwalk show at the Saatchi Gallery. A beautiful venue on the outside, large white pillar (Greek column style). Walking in, everything was white! Designers set up tables and closets to display clothes. Chardon caught my eye, and I had to enjoy a glass! I was even treated to a cosmetic bag with lipstick, a magazine and hair spray. Walking into the Catwalk show was amazing. The models were walking on the runway right in front of us! It was unreal the way the models walked and flaunted their outfits. They were so focused. I felt all of the excitement as I heard the bass and music play throughout the catwalk. I would love to go to another show- especially New York or Milan!
On Sunday, I encountered another new experience- the London Ice Bar! This place was unreal- I felt like I was at an ice hotel. The bar was filled with sculpted designs on the walls along with ice skull structures! After this, my flat mates and I went to a local pub to watch Rugby and chitchat! We then went to a place called Mash, which is an upscale and elegant lounge to socialize.
In the later evening, we proceeded to the Sky Lounge at the Mint Hotel. Inside there was an indoor garden, surrounded by a glass ceiling overlooking all of London. The view was amazing! (Especially at night). I could see the purple and pink lights of the Tower Bridge in the distance. All I can say is that there is so much in this city to enjoy. Coming here I’ve broadened my horizons and opened myself up to a new culture and world of beauty.
