Fall is here and it is gorgeous. As a native Floridian, I am excited to experience a “proper” Fall. Just like September, I know October is going to fly by. This past week has been super busy, but eventful!
Last Saturday, I student rushed for tickets to see Jane Eyre at the National Theatre. It was amazing and I only paid £15 for a ticket! Before and after the show I walked around the Southbank, which is an area I need to revisit for sure.
On Sunday, we visited Abbey Road, and copied the famous album cover. It is a lot harder to get a photo at this spot than I would have ever imagined! Cars were coming and going, the street is swarmed by loads of tourists, and there were only four of us, so we didn’t have anyone to take our photo!
On Tuesday I visited the Globe Theatre and saw Richard II. I definitely got the full experience as I was in the standing section super close to the actors. I am glad that I got to spend a night at the Globe.
“Oresteia” at Trafalgar Studios has gotten superb reviews, so on Wednesday I went to see it. Tickets were a bit pricier, but it was completely worth it. The show was spectacular and definitely lived up to the hype.
On Saturday we took a CAPA trip to Stratford Upon Avon and Kenilworth Castle. Similar to Bath, Stratford Upon Avon is a small, beautiful town with a rich history. I loved visiting where it all began: Shakespeare’s birthplace. I even got to the see his First Folio!
Kenilworth Castle was gorgeous. I tried to imagine how the castle looked when the Queen would spend her summers here.
I need to rest up for the rest of the month, as fall break is coming up and I am going to be doing a lot of traveling!
