This past weekend was unreal, going to Paris for the weekend was something I never thought I would be able to experience. One of my favorite activities was biking through Paris. Riding on the roads and getting to see many famous monuments like the Eiffel Tower and the Notre Dame was awesome. Also, riding on the metro was pretty memorable, well lets just say it made me defiently miss the tube.
Another favorite thing that I did while in Paris was visit the Lourve. It was breathtaking because it was huge, and it is said that if you observe each work of art for 30 seconds it will take you 9 months to see everything inside. Getting to see the Mona Lisa, however, was incredible and a little underwhelming. It was smaller than I imagined, but it was always something I wanted to see.
Also, besides seeing the eiffel tower something I’ve always wanted to do was eat snails. I was a little hesitant when I ordered them but I knew I had to try them! Well good thing I did! They were mainly covered in butter in garlic, but regardless, I can now say I’ve eaten snails in Paris nonetheless.
Everything in Paris was perfect, besides the EuroStar Train home. This 2 hour ride turned into a 5 hour ride. This was because there were people on the tracks so we were at a standstill for 3 hours until the police could find them and clear the tracks. By the time we reached London I was blessed to have experienced Paris, but so happy to be back “home.”
