This weekend I made a trip to Scotland. I have a friend who is currently studying in Glasgow, so I decided to stay with her for the 3 day weekend. When I booked my flights, I never realized how time consuming it is to actually get to the airport. I left the house at 4am for a 7am flight. I was exhausted when I got to Glasgow at 8am, so I napped for a little bit.
On Saturday, we explored a little bit more. She lives in the center of Glasgow, which was very convenient. Then on Sunday, we bought a ticket to Edinburgh for the day. It was only £11 roundtrip! We arrived to Edinburgh in just an hour. When we got off the bus, the view was spectacular! I feel in love. Pictures do not give it justice. We walked around the large city in awe. We made it to the castle and a really great local pub. I didn’t try haggis, but I had a tasty lamb pie! I couldn’t stop thinking about Harry Potter. I even got to pet an owl. She was actually really heavy.
I would definitely go back and visit Scotland. I loved Edinburgh a lot, but I still think Glasgow is a great student city. I am very lucky that I got to visit my friend and spend time with her.
I am excited to leave on Friday for my Fall Break. We start in Berlin and end in Budapest!
