This one is for you adrenaline junkies(you know who you are). Wanaka and Queenstown. You’ll find your way over there. Probably more than once.
Let’s start with bungy jumping. I had 2 rules. One. Dive when you jump. Other jumps are probably much more uncomfortable and possibly more dangerous. Two. Once you are finished falling, you will hang upside down until you release your foot lock. Do that as soon as you have the chance, so that you are not reeled in upside down like an amateur. I failed at both but no worries, everything went well as I sit here and tell you about the story. Luckily for me, I still didn’t have the opportunity to look cool to my family and friends, but at least they almost cry from laughter every time they watch my jump(link below). Undoubtedly, the Nevis Bungy Jump was the best 30 seconds of my life. Pricey but worth every single penny. There are always ways to save money on the big things though, either by booking a month in advance, using your student id, buying package deals, and/or buying as a group. Do yourself and your mom a favor and try not to tell her about the dangerous things until you are home and safe and sound.
While you are looking for some adrenaline rushes, don’t forget about the natural beauty of these places. Roy’s Peak in Wanaka is a must and don’t underestimate this day hike in the winter as I had to crawl/slide my way back down in the snow.
p.s. Fergburger in Queenstown in case no one bragged about it yet.
