This month has been crazy. First of all, fashion is officially over – and as someone interested in fashion who also plans to work in the industry, plus being in Paris for the holy grail of weeks out of the year, it was a lot to keep up with. The internship I have hear was very involved with fashion week and I got to learn so much about the buying process and how fashion week influences what retailers buy and how fashion houses conduct wholesales with retailers. I was fascinated and have fallen in love with it all over again.
There’s this bakery around the corner from my school. I eat there literally everyday for lunch. The ladies there now know me very well, and if they don’t see me reaching for the Pellegrino that always make some light hearted joke about the american and his Pellegrino. I think that’s one of the things I’ll miss about France when I return to the US. I’m so used to having a plethora of dining options; I never chose the same thing twice. But in Paris, there is a familiarity and almost camaraderie by choosing to eat at the same place daily and I like that. I know the same can happen at home, but this is just one of the little things of my study abroad experience that have made it personable.
