11/7/2015- Grace visited me last week!! It was such an amazing time! It was so wonderful to see a familiar face and be able to see someone I’m so close with. I gave her the full tourist experience, or at least as much of an experience as possible with the terrible weather. I took her to see the Sydney opera house and we visited the Contemporary Art Museum which was so much fun! It didn’t have the specific exhibit I wanted to show her but we got to make our own art on iPads there so that was interesting. We went to the Hard Rock Cafe that night to celebrate my birthday early and they sang to me obnoxiously (in a good way) and I got a birthday sundae :). I love how they have Hard Rock Cafes all over the world, I am extremely into music so it is a hobby of mine to visit various ones. The next day I took her to the famous Bondi Beach and we walked around all day, taking in the beautiful scenery and talking about life. Since my parents couldn’t visit me, it was really special to be able to experience all of this with a close friend. The next day we visited the Royal Botanical Gardens and held wild birds. It was one of the funniest moments of my trip! On the last morning before she left, we visited Coogee Beach and talked about how surreal it is to study abroad. Grace’s visit really opened my eyes even more to how special it is to have this opportunity. Surf camp this weekend, now! Yay!!
