It has been a little since I got back from my time abroad and I can definitely say things have been harder than expected. When leaving, I cried my eyes out for hours. Leaving my home stay family was so hard! They made my time abroad so it was very hard to leave them! I decided that I will go back very soon! I was so happy to get home and see my family! They were so excited to see me! They even made me a sign for when I got off the airplane. It was so cute! They took me to Panera as soon as I got the flight because I was craving some American food! The jet lag has been pretty miserable. There were a couple of nights where I could not go to sleep for hours. One night I couldn’t fall asleep till 4 in the morning. I was so upset! I am happy to say though that those days are over! I still keep in contact with everyone abroad. I talk to my friends in Australia every day and some of them are even planning visits to come see me! It is really hard to be away from people that I have gotten so close with but I know we will keep in touch! Recently, I found out that one of the bands that my Australian friends got me into is touring in Florida! I am so excited that I will be able to see them in my hometown! I still cannot believe that I am done with my time abroad but it was an experience that I will never forget!
