If you plan to study abroad in Italy I am pretty sure you will have the time of your life. I only had about 10 days and couldn’t get enough. We found friendly people everywhere who weren’t judging my attempts at speaking Italian before they attempted to help out. We were also rightly recommended to eat out in the southern parts of Italy rather than the north as it gets more delicious the more south you go. I think we unanimously agreed on that. The furthest south we went out to eat was in Naples and I definitely had the 2 best pizzas of my life there. The hostel (Art Hostel) in Naples we stayed at was one of my best hostel experiences and I have had some great ones. The family that owns it also owns the downstairs restaurant, getting you 20% off of there delicious meals. The owner (whose name I will not try to phonetically spell) was amazing as well. The people who stayed at the hostel were really the ones that made the experience. We went out with a diverse group of international people, who made it seem like we had all known each other for years even though it was a few hours.
We decided to take the cheapest ferry possible. Procida was nothing short of amazing. We made life long friends andcame home with probably 50 lemons, which we also didn’t know that Procida was famous for.
