My time in Madrid has been flying by so far. I find that its easy to find something to do because this city is packed with so many parks, cafes, restaurants, historical sites, and cool people!
I’ve done some pretty cool things so far in my 23 days being here. My host family speaks only Spanish, and I find that I’m learning the language fairly quickly and understanding what they say has become less of a challenge. Although there is still an outstanding language barrier present, I still find myself navigating and exploring this city a lot easier than when I first arrived here. On one of the first few days of being here, I was able to experience the Festival de San Isidro- which gave me a large view of the culture here in Spain; the food, people, music, and lifestyle is all such an awesome thing to be a part of and get to experience.
