Hi everyone!
In less than a week I will be starting my semester abroad in London and I could not be more excited. This will be my first time in London but not my first time studying abroad… see, I am an international student from Venezuela and I have actually studied in places like Canada and the US before so I have a little experience in getting used to new places and finding my way in different countries. However, I have been told that there is no similar place to London and it uniquenes is just amazing which makes this opportunity even more valuable … I am not gonna lie, I have high expectations after hearing the stories of all my friends who have been to London with CAPA before.
I am supposed to write about my expectations in this post, but from my experience, you never know what to expect from a differnet country and a different culture so I am trying to keep an open mind and not focus on all the steriotypes that movies show…
Nevertheless, I do want to make lots of friends and get to know the culture very well. I want to travel and give my European passport some good use -did I mention I was also half Spanish? Oh well, now you konw-. In my “goals list” I also have enjoying my classes and performing well in my internship, not getting lost in the Underground (fancy word for subway) and remembering to eat healthy -although that may not be as easy-.
I will keep you all updated on how this adventure goes… Talk to you in two weeks!
