Hello again. Welcome to the 3rd part of the Rollins in Shanghai experience by Mikolaj Geritz. These past 2 weeks not a lot events has occurred during my stay. I mostly focused on studying Chinese language as well as learning from my various Business classes. During these two weeks I visited an underground market. They had a great number of various merchandise over there. There were electronic shops, tailors where one can have a suit, or coat, specifically made for him or her, as well as souvenir shops filled with different kinds of portable statues, or tea sets. One of my favorite shops was the tea shop. There I participated in a traditional Chinese tea ceremony and tasted multiple different kinds of tea. It was a very interesting experience.
This part of September I mostly spend on planing my future travels. In the next week there will be an independent study trip, a period of time when the students individually travel around Asia. Originally I planned to go with my friends to Japan but the prices for the flight during that time were just too high. Now I’m thinking about going to Beijing or some other Chinese city. Worst case scenario I’ll spend my time on exploring Shanghai which may be quite an endeavor.
On this note I’ll finish this entry. I’ll see you soon!!!
