So since my last blog post, I have done a bit of traveling. After returning from London, I decided to spend more time within Spain for the next couple weeks. I celebrated San Mateo for the first time in Oviedo. The festivities included everyone meeting up in a park and watching a firework show! Then after hanging out in the park for a few hours everyone went into town for some dancing. Then that weekend I went to Gijon and Cuderillo, Spain. Cuderillo is a small town but beautiful town surrounded by water and boats.
As we explored more into Cuderillo, we stopped at a beach called Playa de Silencio, which was not like a normal beach. The beach had rocks instead of sand and you had to walk down 5 flights of stairs to get to the beach. The beach was surrounded by large rocks and only a picture will do it justice.
This weekend, I am returning from Barcelona, where I spent all Friday on a bike exploring the city. I visited an old Olympic arena which the 92′ Olympics were held and Sagrada Familia. Overall this first month of being in Spain has been filled with culture and there has yet to be a dull moment!
