(Flashback)
Today we had to be at Capa around 8am in order to catch our bus heading towards Stonehenge and Bath. So far, there hasn’t been a need for me to be at Capa before my usual morning class time, 9:30am, so I experienced a slight struggle getting up so early. Im not sure if I have mentioned this before but I live in a flat with 4 other guys so the fact that we all had to be up and out of the house by a mutual time made it slightly worse…. oh yea also there is also only one bathroom.
A group of us left Goldhawk (our building) and headed for Capa. Once we arrived we boarded our bus. Thankfully our bus was fairly new and alot better than most coach buses.
Our first stop: Stonehenge
Travel Time: 1:30-2:00hrs from Capa
Everyone was completely exhausted from the night before and we managed to get some sleep even though the tour guide on the bus would not stop talking … even after she promised to leave us alone.
Our second stop: Bathe
Travel Time: 1:00-1:30 from Stonehenge
Once we arrived in Bath we were given about 2 hours of free time , which of course we used for to eat because we were starving. My group and I found a not so touristy looking pub for lunch. The food was better than expected and my thanks go out to the waitress for dealing with 13 loud hungry americans. Post lunch we had a self guided tour of the Roman baths which ended in us having the opportunity to taste the Bath water.
(It tasted like pure iron, the most common description of the taste: blood)
