Hey everyone!
Today I received a little gift from the past, a letter I wrote to myself before I came to Germany in August. The letter was full of expectations and reminders I would have liked to have fulfilled at the half-way point in the semester. First time reading through the letter I was surprised at how many goals I have achieved and how flexible I have been in these last two months. Not only have I been keeping up with my classes at Jacobs but also keeping in close contact with my academic advisor at Rollins for next semester. Meeting new people has not been as big as a challenge as I expected bearing in mind a majority of the people in Germany can speak English. Germans are known for the number of festivals they host every month, the downtown was always packed throughout the week and unbearably crowded on the weekends. Every bar, or restaurant had the potential of meeting someone new. One personal memo I send myself was to be adaptable to the environment considering this is my first time living on my own. I’m doing great. My room is really clean (and really empty), I remember to eat 3 times a day and because the gym at this school is nonexistent I started running around Bremen. Now for the one things I am missing is applying to internships for next semester and getting started on my CV. I should have that in order, somewhat, by the next post. All in all, looking good. Here is to a better second half of the semester! Minus the finals of course.
