It’s exam time! Sadly, it’s the time of year when midterms roll around and everyone starts cramming to learn everything they should have been learning in increments, into 2 days. As I’m studying for my exams I realize how much I miss studying in the Rollins library and how appreciative I am of my professors and the wide variety of courses that are offered at my college. As much as I’ve been enjoying my time at AUR, I’ve also noticed how organized and professional things are back in the U.S. Normally, teachers would have been mentioning midterms weeks in advance and issuing out study guides. However, here everything was more laid back.
At this point in the semester you also realize if you’ve been balancing work and travel effectively. I’ll let you know when I get my grades back… Thankfully, the professors here are very understanding of our free time and how we are using every possible moments to explore Italy and abroad. They try to make their work loads manageable and usually make deadlines within the week. That was one of the things I was most worried about when coming to Rome. However, I’m happy to say that I’ve been able to travel every weekend and still make homework deadlines and study for my exams 🙂 Let’s just hope my grades agree.
