I experienced my first earthquake in Italy! At first I thought it was just my imagination, but when one of my roommates ran into my room in a panic, I knew it was real. It only lasted a couple of seconds but it was really scary! The frames moved and the windows shook. My mom messaged me later freaking out thinking the earthquake had been in Rome. Theres only a month left of classes but I’m not ready to go home. I’ve been having such a great time here! Last weekend, my friends and I went to Amsterdam. It’s such an incredible city. Full of freedom and acceptance. Theres colors everywhere, life around every corner and it was extremely cold. Being able to travel in and outside of Italy has been so incredible and theres so much to learn. Not just about the country and the cultures but about yourself. About how you handle problems, how resilient I am to stress and if I am really as independent as I think I am. I still have a few trips planned but I look forward to staying in Rome for some time and exploring it off the beaten path, as the locals do.
