I only have a few more weeks left in London, but sometimes it feels like I only just arrived. I have my plans for winter break and classes for next semester set so it all seems too real. Going home is coming up too fast, and soon it will be back to reality.
Last week I received my Future Me letter that I wrote back home before arriving in London. In the letter, I talked about my hopes and concerns for my internship here in London. I am happy to say that everything I was worried about before hand turned out alright in the end. I was right that I would have similar tasks, like reading mail and sending emails, but I was also right that I would have a lot of fun in my internship. I have met so many people and gotten to learn a lot about politics in The United Kingdom.
I don’t think that I will be ready to go back to school 5 days a week because here at CAPA I only go to class twice a week and there isn’t really homework. My course load at Rollins will be much heavier so I better get back in the school mindset! But going back to Rollins also means getting to see my friends who I miss a lot now.
I have loved my time in London and travelling all over Europe with my friends, so please don’t send me back to the reality of regular college.
