For Fall Break I went to Barcelona with Jose. We spent nine days in Barcelona! We rented bikes and biked all around the city. We went to an FC Barcelona soccer match and got to see Messi. This was like a dream come true for me! We took the bus tour of Barcelona where it took us all throughout the city. We went inside the Sagrada Familia which is a church designed by the Spanish architect named Antoni Gaudi. They have been building this church for 150 years and they have yet to finish it. There are so many details in every part of the church it’s amazing. We also went to Park Guell which was another famous work from Gaudi. We visited 6 museums and my favorite one was Picasso’s. They had hundreds of paintings from him and I loved his style of cubism. I tried sea food paella which is the typical food in Cataluña. I had many tapas which is very well known in Spain as well. It was really nice to be able to speak Spanish in Barcelona. I got to understand some words of Catalan as well. The port of Barcelona was beautiful and we went by it everyday.
