(from November)
London is a city where new meets old, cultures collide, and aesthetics are diverse. I am always amazed by the different architectures that the city has. Among the city you can see Gothic, Baroque, Georgian, and Victorian architecture all within the same area. Most of the buildings have kept their architectural facade, even if the buildings themselves have been renovated. In addition to the abounding architecture, there is also plethora of street art everywhere! Especially in places such as Camden and Shoreditch there is a lot of graffiti. It’s so cool to me that graffiti here is not considered “vandalism”, but art. It adds character tho the city and allows artists to express themselves. Now these areas are famous for their artistic side and people go there just to see it! I think it adds character to the city. And while I don’t think cities should be covered in graffiti everywhere, I think it would be amazing if each city/town had a place where artists were free to paint or graffiti to express their artistic abilities. Instead of it being something negative, it can be turned into something positive. I’ve had so much fun exploring the city and photographing the street art that abounds. Sometimes you’ll just find something small stuck on the wall somewhere that resonates with you, and it just makes you smile.
