*flashback*
So the story behind how and why this trip was planned is really unique. One day a few friends and I decided to go explore Westminster area and take the typical touristy pictures, one of which included the famous big ben and phone booth picture.
During this I was also filming footage for my Vlog. After having taken pictures and explored around for a little bit we all agreed we were hungry. We decided to look for british food and found a good looking pub on Dojo, a very helpful app that I highly recommend you use if you ever visit London.
When we arrived, the man who greeted us seemed really interested in our young American group and therefore we spent a great deal of time talking to him. Eventually he asked us if we were into music festivals, we said yes, and he asked us if we had ever been to AMF, we said no. He followed to mention how his son and him had attended a previous year and told us his experience. Later that night we took it upon ourselves to look the festival up. AMF stands for Amsterdam Music Festival and it is just so happened that it was being held that weekend of October 22nd.
My friend and I decided that it was be great if we could get out entire group to go and so we sent the info in our group.
Within a few days we got everyone to agree and everything was booked. Getting 14 people to agree to something and get everything booked was easier than I thought it would be. Trust me it was still difficult.
Once we got to Amsterdam we did the typical tourist things which included the big letters, the van gogh museum, Anne Frank’s house and the red light district.
We only bought tickets for one day of the festival because we wanted to be able to enjoy the rest of our time in Amsterdam. After taking a boat tour through the canals, I realized how beautiful Amsterdam really was.
All in all the festival and Amsterdam was a complete success and it was even more amazing thanks to our entire group being there. My experiences and memories would not be the same without them; there wouldnt be another group of people that I would have rather done this with.
