In the last two weeks, it’s been quiet an adventure for my final month in Spain. My twin and I took our last two trips, which were to Munich, Germany and Italy. While we were in Germany, it was the beginning of their famous Christmas market. Most nights we explored through the market and tried traditional food and desserts. All the lights were so beautiful. It was a great market. Also, we went to a Bayern Munich soccer match, which my twin surprised me with ticket. I was so excited and even though it was freezing it was so worth it. Munich is such a beautiful place and I’m so grateful I was able to visit there.
Next, Lily and I just returned from our week visit to Italy. Which started in Rome and ended in Venice. While in Rome, we visited a Rollins friend of ours who housed us and toured us. He showed us great food and many historical land marks and even introduced us to his friends that actually live in Italy. Next, we went to Florence which is by far my favorite place I have visited. I cannot express how amazing the Italian food was there, it was absolutely unreal. I will be unable to eat Italian food after eating at the restaurants in Florence. Not to mention all the gelato I consumed in the 4 days of being in Rome and Florence. Last stop we went to Venice which is beautifully crazy place. Almost impossible to not get lost in its tiny streets, but it definitely is a beautiful place with all the waterways and bridges.
From there a friend suggested we visit Burano, which was a great suggestion. The houses were like bright rainbows and the water ways were beautiful.
That week in Italy was one of the best times of my life and it was really hard to leave. This study abroad has been a great experience and I cannot believe I head home in a week, I don’t know where the time went.
