Hi friends!
Sadly this is my last post from London… I know, how sad is that! I really wish I could just live here but I am actually ready for a break…
So recap from last week:
I am now in a new restaurant called Skylon and it is AMAZING! I work with the coolest supervisor ever, her name is Lola and she is a badass! I am mentioning this to exemplify the networking opportunities that people who do an internship abroad have … she wants to follow a career path similar to the one I have in mind and so it is good to know that she also wants to plan the Victoria Secret Fashion Show (for those of who you don’t know, I am not even going to try to explain… shame on you for not knowing what one of the most important catwalks is).
I also went on a pub crawl… no, not Santacon (FYI: The biggest thematic pub crawl in London during xmas, everybody is dressed as santa and they all go to different bars and clubs)… That was interesting to see in the news.
On a different note.. I am done with finals so I have nothing else to turn in this semester aka Bye Bye First Semester Junior year.. to be fair, it went by so quickly!
Now what I have to do is pack my bags, go to a few plays this week, let my internship show me appreciation for what an amazing intern I have been this semester (which they promised to do by taking me out for drinks)… and print the ticket to fly back home (shut, I have to do that).
London has actually been the most wonderful experience of my life… It has shown me how diverse and big the world is and how important relationships are. I really really hope whoever is reading this post decides to go abroad, it is such an enriching experience it is actually hard to describe.
The next time you hear from me, I’ll probably be in a plane flying back to Florida (next Tuesday) or from Colombia cuz apparently that is where my family wants to spend their holidays now (yay more traveling).
Till then, peace out!
