For the past week and half I have been exploring around London, eating at local restaurants/trying all the food along the street, and visit different art galleries. It has been so fun venturing around the area because everything is so close and public transportation is great! The transportation is so awesome here that a bus or a tube (underground bus) come every three to five minutes.
When it comes to eating at local restaurant/trying several different food along the streets in London. I will have to say that my favorite sit down restaurant was Nando’s. This restaurant is widely known for its delicious peri-peri chicken it serves. PERi-PERi is the heart and soul of Nando’s. For centuries the people of Southeast Africa have used PERi-PERi to bring fire to their food. It is in Mozambique’s rich soil and blistering sunshine that the African Bird’s Eye Chilli grows into its fiery best. When Portuguese explorers arrived there, they were enchanted by its flavor. They added a squeeze of lemon and a kick of garlic and turned PERi-PERi into a very well-travelled spice. Which is how, many years later it ended up in Rosettenville, Johannesburg.
When it comes to exploring around London I really enjoy looking at the local shops and finding great deals on souvenirs. I explored so much already that I have already bought so many souvenirs for my family and I already!
Furthermore, my favorite art gallery that I have visited so far is the National Portrait Art Gallery. The National Portrait Gallery contains over 160,000 portraits of men and women from the fifteenth to the twenty-first centuries. Its collection of female portraits includes royal luminaries, such as Queen Elizabeth I, Amy Winehouse, and Olympic gold-medalist Kelly Holmes. I really enjoyed this gallery because it provides you with historical information about Britain elites.
In conclusion, London is amazing and I am so excited to go to Paris next weekend!
