For the beginning of my second month here in Oviedo, the adventures just keep continuing. It seems like every weekend keeps getting more and more interesting and I am really getting used to actually living in Spain. A trip we took with Ana that was incredible was that to Cabo Peñas and Cudillero, which was about an hour bus ride from Oviedo in total. At Cabo Peñas the cliffs over the ocean were absolutely incredible almost looking like the Cliffs of Moher in Ireland. We climbed to the top of the rock overlooking the ocean and being the only ones up there, it was breathtaking. All the views here around the ocean are unlike anything I have ever seen.
Our next stop was at a fishing village called Cudillero where we ate typical Spanish seafood meals including Langostinos, which was unlike anything I have ever eaten. They were like crawfish but you pull the head off to eat them, very interesting. We climbed to the top of the houses overlooking the ocean through a small pathway. This feeling of seeing such a sight so different from anything you have ever seen is truly eye opening, you find yourself thinking so much harder about yourself. The entire study abroad experience is already teaching me so much to go far out of my comfort zone.
