I am finally on my last week of my research project! This final week is writing week, therefore I will be spending these next few days finishing and editing my 50 page research paper.
My friend Maia and I chose the Gili Islands as our location for the writing period. Perhaps this was not the wisest choice as all I want to do is lie on the beach, swim in the ocean, and drink smoothies. Fortunately, Maia and I have been keeping each other in line, motivating the other to do our work. It truly feels rewarding after several hours of writing to be able to relax by the beach. I really can’t complain.
I am still in disbelief that in 2 weeks the program will be over. After this week, we return back to our program center to present our projects and say our goodbyes. Afterwards, my mother is visiting Bali and we will be traveling around Indonesia for three weeks. Thus, I have a little bit more than a month left here! I already sense that I will greatly experience culture shock when I return back home to the States.
