Ciao a tutti! It has been more than a month that I’ve been in Rome and honestly I already feel like I am part of the city. I had no problems adapting to the different culture and I’ve even started to embrace it. I have to say that I was very fortunate to be placed with the flatmates that I have because we have all gotten along perfectly. Some even share my passion for soccer and of course we had to go see AS Roma play at the Stadio Olimpico. Watching one of my favorite teams play was definitely an unforgettable experience that I will always keep close to my heart. Regarding classes I’ve felt like AUR is a great environment to learn because they don’t just lecture you all the time they actually try to make the class entertaining and sometime they will even take you out to explore the city, Our Italian professor took us out for gelato. in my stay in Italy I have also met many friends that have made this trip even more enjoyable. Even though we have a strong bond between flatmates we’ve also met people at AUR that have been part of our experience in the city. I am starting to feel like I am building a life here in Rome and it saddens me that come December I will have to say goodbye to it. We’ve not only had experiences in Italy but we have also been traveling to other parts in Europe. This last weekend we went to Amsterdam where we had a great time and even though the weather wasn’t perfect we made the most of our time there. The best trip I’ve had so far has to be the Capri and Sorrento trip made with the ISA coordinators. It was a trip in which we didn’t have the stress of planning the trip so we could just relax and enjoy. Capri is a beautiful place to visit and taking a boat ride was a very pleasant experience. Even though it seems like time is passing by too quickly we still have some great trips planned ahead of which you will hear about in my next blog. Ci vediamo dopo ragazzi!!!
